November
After Five

For the hours that still belong to you.

Issue No. 01
November 2026

Why After Five?

This is a love letter to the dark.

To life after daylight saving time ends.

The clocks turn back, the sun disappears before dinner, and suddenly the evenings feel a little longer.

November After Five is an invitation to stop fighting the early darkness and settle into it instead. To come home, turn on a little light, let dinner take too long, and notice the life that happens when the day feels done.

For the hours that still belong to you.

For Issue Nº 01, I wanted to begin with gratitude for something ordinary.

When we think of November, Thanksgiving is often the first thing that comes to mind. But I didn’t want this issue to revolve around the big occasion. I wanted it to be about the evenings we might otherwise rush through without thinking twice.

Because that’s what I hope these letters become: a reason to pay a little more attention to the days that don’t seem particularly important while we’re living them. The Tuesdays. The dinners at home. The hours after five.

This issue means a little more to me, too, because it’s the first time I’m putting my art out into the world. I’m a new artist, and From Frankie is very much my brainchild: something I’ve been drawing, writing, painting, and piecing together myself. Everything you find inside is hand-drawn and created by me, from the illustrations and stickers to the little details tucked into each envelope.

There’s something both exciting and terrifying about taking something that has lived in your head for so long and finally letting other people hold it in their hands. Issue Nº 01 is the beginning of that for me. And if one of these envelopes finds its way into your home, I hope it feels like you’re getting a small piece of that beginning, too.
